On 10 May 2025, Seagull rolled out its Environmental Awareness Programme—a company-wide initiative designed to move beyond systems and targets, and nurture a sustainability mindset across every level of the organisation. Led by Dr. Murugesan Sethu, Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer, the session introduced employees to Seagull’s sustainability mission: to meet today’s needs without compromising future generations, and to treat “Sustainability as a Shared Responsibility.”
Building on earlier phases of Seagull’s sustainability journey since November 2023, the programme covers practical “dos and don’ts”—from saving resources and managing waste responsibly, to handling chemicals safely and protecting our waterways.
Over eight priority ESG topics identified for FY 2024, teams will track and report metrics aligned with global frameworks such as ESRS, ISSB, and GRI—culminating in a sustainability reports and accountability towards our commitments as a LowCarbonSG member under the UN Global Compact Network .
By embedding these principles into daily operations, Seagull aims to transform individual awareness into collective action—ensuring that every employee and partner can “Save Resources, Save Our Future”, creating a sustainable maritime environment for decades to come.
