SEAGULL TAKES FLIGHT

2003

Seagull Pte Ltd was established in Singapore, with major operations centred on ship repair services at anchorage for ocean-going vessels.

2007

With an unwavering focus on quality, Seagull’s business steadily grew and we expanded our scope to include the fabrication of subsea and offshore structures for oil and gas.

TAKING QUALITY IN-HOUSE

2009

With a growing client roster came increasing complexity in job demands. In order to maintain our focus on quality, Seagull made the bold decision to invest in our own in-house CNC machine shop, greatly boosting fabrication capabilities.

2010

Seagull founder M. S. Maniam received the Best Entrepreneur Award.

BUILDING CAPABILITIES & RESILIENCE

2014

To continue delivering top notch service to our clients, Seagull now needed larger facilities. This led to the building of our current state-of-the-art maritime facility at Tuas South in Singapore—a 200,000 sqft fabrication yard, including a 16,000 sqft machi ne shop, allowing us to continue offering CNC services, and equip our team with specialised skills.

2016

Seagull was not spared from the oil and gas crisis. Yet, through downsizing and diversifying our services; we
weathered the storm and emerged stronger and more resilient with many lessons learnt.

CHARTING OUR WAY FORWARD

2019

Seagull welcomed the addition of a Clean Workshop for stainless and super duplex steel piping fabrication, further growing our competitive suite of in-house capabilities.

2020

Seagull’s decision to invest in-house became a blessing in disguise during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst other firms grappled with manpower and work restrictions, our in-house dormitory allowed us to continue mobilising teams 24/7, minimising the negative impact to Seagull.

2022

With a solid home base, Seagull began to introduce overseas services and partnership yards, marking the start of our evolution towards being a global player in the maritime industry

GOING GREEN, GOING GLOBAL

2023

Seagull marked our 20th anniversary, commemorating our growth through two decades. We also continued to invest in our capabilities, setting up a blasting chamber in Singapore.

2024

Seagull was awarded the LowCarbonSG status in Singapore, and later launched our rooftop solar panel system, solidifying our commitment towards innovating solutions for a sustainable marine future.

Seagull also celebrated the opening of a 118,000 sqft facility in Malaysia, and a 160,000 sqft yard in Dubai’s Hamriyah Free Zone in August and November respectively. A breakthrough year for Seagull, and a big step towards serving our global clients better!
